Emily Joyce's first solo exhibition in Los Angeles is an on-and-off-the-wall installation of kinetic, optical, and symbolic abstract paintings. This week, Emily Joyce's work places host to a suite of music events.

THU APR 2: MUSIC: Kevin Robinson Ensemble — KREation  8PM/$5-10 donation

A night of improvised sonic meditations in collaboration with live visual art by Kenyatta A C Hinkle and live writing by Niela Orr.

 SAT APR 4: MUSIC: ARRINGTON de DIONYSIO + PARK DETAIL'S BAND + telecaves + LEE NOBLE and EZRA BUCHLA Doors at 8PM

SUN APR 5: MUSIC: FATHER MURPHY (IT) + XIU XIU NOISE + XIA + very special djs Doors at 8PM, $7 everyone welcome.

Telecaves are back for a noise set with Xiu Xiu, Banetoriko and Shayna Dunkelman. Plus XIA, Father Murphy and a special opener and closer dj set from the folks who brought you the 1/8th FEST.

Ex-Romance and Hail the New Puritan, Charles Atlas' two most well known dance-narratives presented as part of the ATLAS IN LA festival.

FRI FEB 20-SUN MAR 8: GROUP EXHIBITION The Border Again, curated by Kelman Duran Opening Friday 2/20, 7-10PM, Gallery Hours: Thu-Sun noon-8PM.

Featuring artists who work in Tijuana and artists from Los Angeles who have made work in Tijuana and/or consider it as a context. Exhibition, video screenings, text by Luisa Fernanda Martínez and Reuben Torres, and open forums. 

FRI FEB 27th: FILM/VIDEO SCREENINGS Vivir Como Perro, El Gato, and Santa Teresa and Other Stories 6:30-9PM

In conjunction with The Border Again exhibition, three film screenings featuring work by Daniel Rosas, Ana Andrade and Nelson Carlo will be presented.

Cool World presents a night of performance and music with
Phedre, Jeffzilla, Paper Slang, Sister Mantos, and Jal with DJs Crasslos and Julius Smack

We invite artists, organizers and all Angelenos of color to join us in an intimate exchange on race and representation, communities and the art market, and the (im)possibilities of artworld decolonization. This is an intentional people of color only event. 7pm to 10pm  Bring food to share- its a potluck!
